A long time ago Some years ago, in 1984/1985, I wanted to become a very good and famous cyclist. It was the time of Joop Zoetemelk, Jan Raas and Gerrie Kneteman. The first bike that my parents bought me was a Union. I started my cyclingcareer at wsv emmen. I will never forget my first training. I could not believe that people could ride bikes that fast! But when you want to be a great cyclist then you have to train every day for several hours. And that was something I could not combine with my study at school. So I made the decision to stop cycling. Our son, Alfred, has a passion for cycling as well. If one day he wil start cycling is not to say. But we do visit many cyclingcriteriums in the Netherlands. And that gives many great pics. Enjoy!
